Sometimes a guest is enjoying your space so much that they decide they want to extend the length of their booking. It is always your choice whether to extend this option to them. If you decide to offer overtime, let the guest know when time is almost up and how much you charge. Be sure to confirm with the guest what this amount will be to avoid any miscommunication.
Note: All overtime must be reported within 72 hours after the booking end time. Peerspace cannot pursue charges past this time.
At the conclusion of each booking, you’ll receive an email with the subject line “Your booking with {Guest_name} is complete”. To charge your guest for overtime, click the “Add Overtime” button and enter the number of hours (30 minute increments) as well as the rate you’d like to charge. You have the option to charge 1x or 1.5x the hourly rate for the booking.
For example, if your space is $100 per hour and your guest stays 1 hour over, you will have the option to charge $100 (1x hourly rate) or $150 (1.5x hourly rate).
When you submit the overtime charge, your guest's card on file will be charged. The guest will have 48 hours to dispute the charge with Peerspace, at which time we would contact you directly.
Payouts are automatically deposited into the bank account you have on file. Depending on when the overtime is submitted, the payment may be issued in a separate payout.
If the booking was confirmed at a variable rate and/or attendee rate, you will have the option to charge overtime at that adjusted rate. However, if the booking was an invite to book, the overtime rates available to you will not reflect the custom price. In this case, you can submit the custom hourly rate by submitting the overtime through the “Add Other Charges” button. You can find instructions for that process here.
